I am in the process of getting a 180 gal (standard) tank, and have a few questions about getting it set up.
1) This tank was previously used as a salt water tank. What can I use to clean the tank to convert it to fresh water.
2) I have a pump for a sump, and need to know:
A) is it beneficial to use a sump system
B) How big of sump should I use below the tank. I was thinking about heating the sump instead of tank proper to hide cables (Possible?)
and 3) I would like to do an African cichlid tank (have had these before, but never this much room) and was looking for some stocking ideas. Would like to stay on the natural path, but I would also like to add some schooling fish (think neons or something for added color).
