I have a new planted 30 gallon tank with an Eheim 2213 and inline heater that I'm in the process of cycling (fishlessly). I've been looking at my stocking options, and I've attached a picture of my stocklist from AqAdvisor.
According to AqAdvisor, my aquarium filtration capacity for above selected species is 122%, which would be plenty of filtration. My recommended water change schedule would be 34% per week.
The rams and the Bumblebee catfish are a sure thing, as I really like the looks of both, and I thought the harlequins and tetras would look pretty sweet schooling together. The substrate I'm using is Seachem's Tahitian Moon Sand, and I put in some mountain trumpet snails to keep it stirred up, that's where the assassin snails come in (population control). I know the rams are prone to snack on shrimp though, and was wondering what alternatives I might have as far as they are concerned.
Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated, and thanks in advance.
