New an cycled tank

What's wrong the 2 blood parrots, it's a 40 gallon fluval.

I'm not an expert but they look as if they need a place to hide until they get used to their new surroundings.
 
I know, that's what I told my uncle( my uncles tank) but he doesn't listen and the biggest blood parrot is always shoving her into the corner!
 
Fortunately, it is cycled and the readings are 0 ammo, 0 nitrite, 3 nitrates. My uncle bought this tank that was $600 for fish that he couldn't take care of. I keep asking him for at least part of his $400 tank, so I can help the fish but he won't let go of his fluval tank!!!:)
 
Nearly all Cichlids and fish are always happier with some sort over cover, caves, plants etc - it helps them establish territories in the tank.
