New an cycled tank

What's wrong the 2 blood parrots, it's a 40 gallon fluval.

I'm not an expert but they look as if they need a place to hide until they get used to their new surroundings.

I know, that's what I told my uncle( my uncles tank) but he doesn't listen and the biggest blood parrot is always shoving her into the corner!

Have you tested the water, to make sure everything is ok.

Fortunately, it is cycled and the readings are 0 ammo, 0 nitrite, 3 nitrates. My uncle bought this tank that was $600 for fish that he couldn't take care of. I keep asking him for at least part of his $400 tank, so I can help the fish but he won't let go of his fluval tank!!!

Nearly all Cichlids and fish are always happier with some sort over cover, caves, plants etc - it helps them establish territories in the tank.
