New Filter Recommendations

I currently have 110 Gallon FW tank with 2 koi's in the tank. We are planning to move, so we dont have the time to currently build a pond at out home. However, we do plan to get a new filter for our tank. We currently have a Rena Filstar XP3 canister filter on it. But as you know, koi aren't so keen on be clean. SO does anyone have any recommendations on what type of filter we could add to the tank??

what type of filter media do you use in your XP4?

I use the coarse and fine filter pads and filter floss. That's it.
