I have discus living with cories neons silver Tetras and a loach it's may favorite tank so it can be done

I know it can be done I'm just saying that they prefer to be in a species tank. They do alright with sterbai Cories because of temperature. But they like to school so thats why I said they would prefer a species tank.

Umm I don't think discus would work as a centrepiece fish only because they are schooling fish and do better in a species tank. You could try german blue rams , pearl Gouramis or angelfish. They could all work

That's what I'm considering for my tank too.
