new readings in fishless/fish cycle...

holy! rehome most fish asap. water changes won't help if you have a +4' redtail in there! gosh it won't even be able turn around! chances are it would have a stunted growth, and thats not good at all.
 
The plant that's floating on the right side is fake lol but all the other ones are live plants

Okay so after adding several plants and waiting I tested the water and here's what I got

pH 7.6
High Range pH 7.4
Ammonia .5ppm
Nitrite .25ppm
Nitrate 5ppm

I just did another 50-60% water change and retested

pH 7.6
High Range pH 7.8
Ammonia between 0-.25ppm
Nitrite 1ppm
Nitrate 5ppm

Ill retest again later tonight but am I making progress?? Lol
