New Tank

It happened. I have a large bloom of brown algae. Now what? I also show ammonia between 2 & 4, nitrite 0 nitrate 5. Is this possible? What is wrong here? It is a 20 long tank. I am using my XP3 filter, yeah I know thats a lot of filter for this tank. I haven't gotten my 75 up and running yet. I have already done a 50% water change.

Was your filter already cycled? If not sounds like a 50% water change may not be enough - I would retest ammonia and do another water change if it is still high. 2-4 (I assume ppm) is right out. 75% change might have been better.
