I have a 180ltr bow front tank, have had it running a while now, nitrite is on the come down nitrates are going up, no ammonia the cycle has been going 5 days now, should I do a small water change to help with the bacteria or do a 50% water change. I am using tap safe as can't get RO WATER help please

:D

Nope. But if you have fish in the tank you could vacuum the bottom. Your almost cycled and have no ammonia. If your nitrite is too high I'd do alittle water change to keep it at float. Nitrite is still toxic, just don't let it get too high. But, you should be good.

It's at 12ppm so the nitrite is on the way down, I used bio fluid which has a ton of bacteria in it and just kept feeding it and cycling it that way. I know RO water helps but just got tap safe at the moment.

I think cycle is complete

Just done a test this morning
Nitrates 10 mg/L
Nitrites 0 mg/L
PH 6.5
CL 0

Awaiting test 2 for my nitrite spike

Nitrates 12mg/L
Nitrites 0.3mg/L
Ph 6.7
CL 0
