New tank question

I just bought a 110 gallon tank. It came with a Penguin 330 filter. The previous owner said that is all they used and it worked fine. It seems underpowered to me. Do you think I need to add another filter?

Also will a 300 watt heater be enough for this tank? Thanks a lot for everyones help.

I am not familiar with the penguin filters

But I would go with 2 200 watt heaters on each end of the tank to evenly distribute the heat and two heaters have to work 1/2 as hard to heat your tank so they will last longer

But if you only want one the 300 will do the job

I think the recommended GPH for HOB filters is 5-10x tank volume per hour. That filter would definitely have its work cut out for it. I would consider maybe looking at another filter.
