how long after i get my amonia down should i start seeing nitrites n nitrates??

You should start seeing nitrites before your ammonia goes all the way down. By the time your ammonia is consistently 0 you will be well into the nitrite stage and perhaps even seeing some nitrate production... but generally it shouldn't be more than 2-3 weeks for nitrites to come down.

does this happen when cycling with fish too ???? tested again this morning no ammonia no nitrites and ph at 7 still no sign of nitrites is this normal too
