im putting together a densely planted paludarium that i hope to have frogs and newts in along with amazon fish and im wondering if i need to filter the water through peat moss as it says in a few profiles that ive read and in a book.

my tank isnt completly set up yet so i dont know because im in the process of setting it up but yes im getting all SA fish. :D

I think SA fish to like the "blackwater" conditions that the peat creates. It was suggested to me to add peat in my fw aquarium to help bring down the ph, but it settled down on its own and I plan on a piece of driftwood to help bring the ph down a bit. It is around 7.4 now, but i dont put too much faith in the junior ph test kit.
