Hi Guys & Gals!

I have noticed in the past 2 days that I have these little white flecks of something on the walls of my tank.
I attached a few pics to show you. I don't have a magnifiying glass, so I can't get a better look at them.

At first, they looked somewhat like fibers like you might see come off a napkin or paper towel, but my husband noticed one moving last night. They are very tiny. This morning, it seems that there are even more of them, so I'm concerned. My fish will arrive on Tuesday, so I need to remedy this if it's a problem.

I don't have any fish in there yet. I have two live plants. Also, I cycled my tank with fish food, so perhaps I haven't cleaned it well enough and it's planeria from the left over food? I had some snails from the plants recently, so maybe it could be snail eggs?

I have NO idea, so any light you could shed would be great, or if you think they could be harmful?

Thanks in advance!

They are probably planeria, they are harmless and generally show up in numbers when there is an abundance of food. A good gravel vacuum job will clear it up.
