Quarantine # danios?

I have a 75 gallon display tank and a 10 gallon quarantine. I want to add about 10 zebra danios to my display tank. How many can I quarantine at a time in the 10 gal tank?

How long will you quarantine them for? You should probably have 5 anyway so they can have a school.

I was planning on 2-3 weeks. I feel they will be stressed if I get too few and they will get stressed if I get too many for the small quarantine. Kind of a rock and hard place with schooling fish. "Don't add more than 3 fish at a time to your tank " BUT "don't get too few schooling fish or they will stress out".

You will need 5 danios together I think. Is the qauarantine tank cycled?

Yes. Is 2-3 weeks long enough to quarantine? This will be my first attempt.

5 danios should be okay. I'm not sure how long to quarantine for. Try searching the internet for time you should quarantine for.

Who told you to introduce schooling fish 3 at a time? I heard that it is better to introduce them all at the same time. But yeah, do 5 at a time.
