Ram and small fish

How small is it? If I'm not mistaken the general rule is that if a fish can fit another in it's mouth it can and most likely will eat it.
 
Depends on the size of your tank, if it's planted, and the ram itself. I have several rams and they don't even look at shrimp much less tiny fish. But other rams will eat whatever they can fit in their mouths. If you have alot of plant cover, especially something only a little fish can hide in then it might be safe.
