I am thinking of setting up a 75 gallon and getting 2-3 rena xp3s . How many do you think I would need to have it filtered great.?

Fish would be
1 Jack dempsey
4 clown loaches

Also would the fish be compatible I was thinking they would be but I know people on here would know better.

You just need 1 XP3. That's what I use on my 75G, and it does excellent. :)

Ditto, although you may want a powerhead for additional water movement...

I would suspect that the spraybar will be plenty of movement :) I have a really cool current look in my tank. I have a 8 in bubble bar at the bottom, and my spray bar aimed directly down at the bubble bar. So I can see the bubbles come up, get pushed about 5 inches down and then back up :)

I have plants that break up the flow of water pretty well, so I have a powerhead to give the current the extra boost it needs - and my rainbows love the current, so no harm no foul!
