seeding material question

So I am starting my first larger size tank 55 gal! Have two 10gal already cycled tanks and have been running good for awhile now. My question is I have shoved some filters pads in behind the ones in my cycled tank, any suggestions on how long to keep them in there. I have also grabbed some gravel and put it in two of the corners of the 55. I am really exicited about this tank and hope my fishless cycle does not take the 23 days my 10 did.

I've read from members that you want to keep the media in there for a week or two .. to make sure you really seed the new filter.

I've haven't done it but that's how'd I go about it.

Any kind of rocks or ornaments from your 10 gals will make a big difference too

Just leave the sponges in there until the tank cycles, you can remove them down the road.
