Aquarium Advice Newbie
I've had a 10G tank set up for about 6 years, and I'm upgrading to a new 75G tank. I have a Fluval 306 that I had purchased to replace the HOB filter on the 10G until I upgraded (at the time, I had planned on upgrading to ~60G, but I didn't like the dimensions of any of the tanks - the 75G dimensions are perfect). I know the 306 will end up a little on the small side when I get to the point where the tank is reaching capacity, but for now it should be fine - when I need to upgrade, I'll probably get a G6 to replace it.
On the 10G, I had the 306 set up with the following:
Top - Polishing pad in each side and Zero Carb in one side, Clearmax in the other
Middle - Biomax
Bottom - Bio Foam
Does anyone have any better recommendations for how to set up the filter, or is the setup I was using decent?
I also have a Coralife 3x Turbo Twist UV Sterilizer and then a Hydor ETH300 in the return to the tank.
