I was aiming for a bigger community, rather than just a few fish =/

If you want more than a few fish, you could do the African Cichlid idea. With Africans you purposely overstock to reduce aggression. So more cool fish for you

By the way, I am very jealous. My biggest tank is a 30 gallon.

Any suggestions on heater watts? I think I'll plan on doing two shrimp species, one or two SMALL schooling fish like danios/tetras/minnows, and go with more exotic choices that I could name! Will have to go through intense compatibility searching though...
