Still fishless cycling...but going on vacation? What do I do?

I've been fishless cycling for ~3 weeks now. It hasn't gotten down to 1ppm ammonia yet, but it's at 2ppm, so hopefully soon. I'm going on vacation next week and I don't know what to do with my cycle. I don't want it to start over, so I think I'll add ammonia so the bacteria has food. Any tips?
The water has been evaporating as well. Should I add more (treated, of course), or would that affect the cycle?

Keep the tank topped off and dose the ammonia before you leave. Either fhat or put a cocktail shrimp into a nylon stocking and leave that in the tank when you leave.

The shrimp will provide a continuous ammonia source.
