So i recently got a 29g and my latest stocking plan was bad, kinda out of ideas on fish stocking. The only thing i am 100% sure on is 6 kuhli loaches, any suggestions on compatable fish.

A pair of Keyhole cichlids + a group of tetras?

If i would add tetras they would most likely black neon tetras, and would only 1 chiclid be good(ive never kept any before)

Keyholes are the most peaceful cichlids I have kept. They work well in most peaceful communities and an individual should be fine.

With pretty much any fish you run the risk of it eating something small enough to fit in it's mouth but my keyholes never bothered anything around them regardless of size. I am not much of tetra expert but the black ones are a little bit bigger than a standard neon, right? If so, they should be fine as keyholes don't get very big.

If you prefer something a bit more colorful, the honey gourami is a nice fish for that size tank.
