Hi,

I'm looking for advice for adding some stock to my tank.

Here is a list of what I have so far.

2 adult Molly's and 6 juveniles
2 platys
19 neon tetras
4 buenos aires tetras
7 carries.

The tank is heavily planted with lots of driftwood and slate.

It's a Juwell trigon 350. Corner tank 350 litres (92 us gallons)

The water is hard approx 24 gh. And the ph is approx 8 at the minute.

I have just got a ro unit and I'm in the process of slowly bringing the ph down to 7.2 and hardness to 12.

Any suggestions of any interesting colourful fish to add once my ph and hardness are at them levels

For shame!

Sorry, but what is a carrie?

Why are you worrying about dropping the pH?

For other fish, I would suggest a school of rainbows. Either Boesemani or Praecox. Either that or a school of Harlequin Rasbora.

Spot on fresh. It was an auto correct.

I like the rainbow fish mebbid

I was told that the stock I have would be happier at a ph of about 7.

Just looked up the black ruby barbs bettaowner. They are a nice fish. Never seen them over here.

Would a pair of Bolivian Rams be possible with the neons or is that a no go area.

Also would a betta work or would the buenos aires tetras nip at his fins to much

Thanx everyone

Bettas like to be alone plus the tetras and their high activity level would probably stress the betta.

Cheers bettaowner. I had seen them in community tanks but was afraid of the tetras alright. They are quiet active
