Is there a big difference to the fish if i was to use colored substrate and fake colored plants as opposed to natural (green) colored plants and natural colored substrate? Might be a very dumb question but i can't imagine i'm the only one to wonder this. I just don't wanna stress fish out if they don't need to be!!

Fish will not care in a superficial sense. However, having live plants in your tank can be very beneficial in a few ways. Firstly, it is a small supply of food for your fish. It will also help oxygenate the tank and suck up your nitrate, improving the water quality. Plants will also grow, which produces a changing environment with more hiding spots. Just a few things to consider. As to the gravel, sometimes cheap colored gravel leeches dyes into the water, which wills stress or even kill your fish.
