Might have messed up

I am doing a fish less cycle and it seemed I had low Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate was at 20 ppm. I did a 90% water change and filled the tank 20% before I added Prime with the filter off. I added ammonia once the tank was full, up to 2 ppm.

Now my readings a day later are:

Ammonia: 1 ppm
Nitrite: .25 ppm
Nitrate: 5 ppm

I have a 110 gallon tank and I am wondering if that is why it is taking more then a day to convert my ammonia. Does tank size influence the time to process ammonia or am I in the middle of my cycle not the end.

Seems you are at the tail end of the cycle. Don't give up, you're very close! I would suggest once you can convert 2-3ppm of ammonia in 1 day completely to 0ppm, do it a few more days to confirm consistency.

Tank size should not make a difference, if you have adequate filtration.

(that's assuming a new tank, with most of the bb in the filter. With an established tank with a well developed bb colony on every surface, it might not matter if the filter is small and under powered)
