Tetra help!

Is the cardinal tetra more shy then the neon tetra? I have cardinals with lost of plants and there hiding all the Time and only come out during feeding time. I have 8 cardinals.

Cardinals aren't shy but they are more delicate so they could be acclimating if they are new

Are they more delicate then neons?

Cardinals should be a little tougher (currently testing that theory . ). I do find the cardinals seem a little more shy than the neons - might be just unlucky.
