Found a way of getting food to my otocinclus and guppies now without tetras getting it. Get an algae wafer wet and press it onto the side of the glass. It sticks!
The guppies and oto munch it, but the tetras don't quite seem to realise how to eat it

Oh man, I might have to try that too! I tried the sand trick, but the snail dug it up and I ended up babysitting for 40 minutes with a turkey baster. The betta kept trying to sneak under the plants where I couldn't see him. Little brat.
