I have just upgraded my 3ft tank to a 4ft.
I put my old filter media from the established tank into a new filter.
My question is how long should it take for my water chemistry to stabilize?
Or will my tank still need to cycle again?
Thanks.

Feed light the first month, then slowly raise back to normal feeding... It doesn't have to cycle again but you could have a mini cycle. Best way to think of it is any item in your old tank that was wet had bacteria on it. That is a lot of surface area to lose all at once. However you will be just fine. Just take it easy on feeding in the beginning your bacteria in the the filter will be working overtime.

Any decorations or items from your old tank being moved over will help. Do not clean them as they act as filter media as well.

Thanks,
Just tested the water again and my nitrates are back to 5.0ppm
