Using Established Tank to Speed Cycle?

hiya im newish to fish keeping , and im about to set up my second tank , can i use my outher tank to speed up my new tanks cycle

If your other tank is established, you can use some filter media and some gravel in your new tank to help speed things up. Beneficial bacteria live on the surfaces of everything so adding the media & gravel (or a decoration/plant) will add the bacteria to your new tank. Just make sure you do not remove all of the filter media from your established tank or you will throw your established tank into a new cycle!
