water brown

so i bought some driftwood at petco around two weeks ago. at first i boild it for 3 1/2 hours and then i did the whole water change thing for 1 1/2 weeks. the water was clear in the bathtub but when i put it in my tank it STILL turned the water brownish. any ideas on what to do???

How brown is it? It might go away in time and with some water changes, I think. It won't harm the fish any in the meantime. Just keep an eye on your PH b/c it might drop it a bit.
