What is the proper way to do a water change after the water has been evaporated?

If the water has evaporated, then just top it off with fresh temp. matched water.
For a water change you do the same thing except you have to remove some water, and replace it with fresh water. There's not an exact science to it

Dont forget to dechlorinate the water first use seachem Prime it removels chlorine and detoxifies ammonia and nitrite but u can use any dechlorinater for your tap
