Some will say Eheim 2234, I love my Fluval. I have an older model but the new 406 is supposed to be great filter.

Fluval all the way.
You'll want the filter with the strongest pump in a tall tank, exactly what Fluval does best.
306 would be enough but if you fancy a 406, go for it.
Or maybe you're wanting the most over filtration in the form of an FX6...

I ended up getting a 60g tall tank! I got a fluval (aquaclear) hob 110! I got it running! Its very quiet!
