I started to cycle my tank about a week ago and just in the last 2 days this fuzzy white stuff has started to grow on all the wood in my tank. Just wondering if anyone knew what it was. My tank is 70g and I'm doing a fish in cycle with 4 head and tail light tetra and a red tail shark. (please spare me the fishless cycle speech I simply had no option. They had no home). Should I be worried about this fuzz?

It is a fungus/bacteria that feeds on proteins in the wood. It will go away on its own. It is not harmful, as a matter of fact some fish will eat it. Once the food source is used up it will go away.

Agreed. I can't find the link, but I've read that it actually feeds on ammonia so get through the cycle and it should disappear.
