What should I be looking for in a heater?

I have a 5g tank and was wondering what kind of heater I should be looking for and what I should get.

I've always used MarineLand heaters. Good quality never had any problems.

As long as it's enough watts/gallon and isn't some $5 heater you should be fine. Quality equipment pays in this hobby.
