That is a good deal on that tank for that price. I'd say go for it, but do some research and set it up right, including a fishless cycle, before adding fish please.

we'll see - i wont set it up for a long time though (since i am going to college - i might set it up in the lounge ((if i can trust the people in my dorm, which shouldnt be a problem - they all seem nice)) once i move into my apartment i will be good to go

D

you do not need to recycle the tank if you move, all you need is to make sure the filter media are wet at all time during the 7 1/2 hrs.

7 hrs shouldn't affect your bacterias that much.

my best advice for you is to start REALLY slow.

buy the biggest tank you are able to fit in your house (and afford)
buy all equipment you need for the tank
set it up
and allow it to rest a while.

other then that, i think i am not much of help.

id of set up the 10g as a quarenteen tank and used the gold fish and frogs as ... subjects to keep the cycle going lol

as far as a saltwater tank.. usually you can go to places like petsmart or petland and they have setups with the "nemo" fish in them. They are like 10 gallon tanks, but are around 350 dollar deals. to steep for my pockets.
