wierd hatchetfish?

i got 3 hatchets 3 days ago and they all died . the ones i had were all silver but the ones i got had a dark brown or black stripe. i returned them and got a refund and went to petland. i got 3 from petland (where i got the 1st 3) and 2 of them are like my 1st 3. one of them is like the kind that died (from petsmart). the one with the stripe isnt swimming against the current as well as the all silver ones. i have 2 bubble stones in there lining the back of the tank..

are the ones with the stripe a weaker kind? or is the stripe a sign of stress?

i know this story is confusing because im not a very good storyteller . tell me if you dont get something

Did you end up with Marble Hatchets? http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...fm?pCatId=1027

Marble Hatchets can be EXTREMLY finicky... out of the 6 I ended up buying.. only two made it (and then one of those jumped out of my tank)
I think marble hatchets are the prettiest, but they are harder to keep alive for the first few days

i guess thats the normal silver hatchet... and since the striped one is bigger maybe they get the stripe as they get older?

I've never noticed that stripe on any of mine, but maybe I never looked hard enough =oP

all hatchets can be kinda touch and go depending on when and where you get em
