Will adding a second filter speed up cycling

I'm waiting for my AquaClear 50 to arrive for my 20 gal tank. I'm running a Topfin 20 right now and I'm almost 3 weeks into my fish in cycle. Still no signs of NO2 or NO3. Will adding the new filter speed up the cycling process? My plan is to take out the Topfin when my tank has cycled. Is this a good plan?

I don't think it will speed anything up. But you could put your current cartridge in with the new one(I think if there's room inside the new one). If you can get a piece from an established filter it will speed things up a bunch.
