Im getting a 29 gal tank next week and am going to do a fishless cycle. I read about it on this forum and was wondering if i could get away with doing the fishless cycle with this ammonia i found in my house or if i need to get something else like the one from ace hardware that was recommended. Thanks!

it should be okay. Best way to be sure is to shake the bottle. If it foams at the top then dont use it

Also check the label for surfactants, dyes, or perfumes. Or anything other than ammonia or ammonium hydroxide.

It looks right. The MSDS looks OK.

The main difference is, it appears to be 3% concentration and the ACE is 10%, so you'll need to use 3.3 times more. A common way to start a fish less cycle is to do about 1ml per 10 gallons, but that's for 10%.
