I forget it was so long ago.
I had traces of nitrite for weeks from about one month in. Same with nitrate, had barely detectable traces from fairly early on. Before they started to spike.
Even ammonia coming down after the spike I had traces for a couple of weeks.
Nitrite disappeared in a week though.
