Anemone - colour change

Can anyone tell me why my carpet anemone has not only shrank or less then half it's size but has changed color to a white/ yellow. It's been like this for a good two weeks now, any ideas ?

Lights, tank age, full set of params, recent changes? And a pic would help

It's been the same set up, for 6 months, it's a 28 gal, cube style, everything has been fine till recently, I noticed the color change in the anemone, usually it's fanned out to about 5" diameter, now it has tucked it self under a piece of rock and is turning yellow /whitish. I have tested he water and the levels seem what the book says they should be. Could it just be dying or maybe hungry lol ?

Lights? 6 months is kinda young for a nem, as they need mature stable systems. Also impossible to help with out numbers for params, everyone's "book" is different and nems require pristine water quality. Sounds like it's not getting enough light or a water quality issue honestly.
