which one would be best for a beginner? they all have the same corals, so i figure anyone of them, i just want to make sure before purchasing that i was getting the right thing. i have a 50/50 something or other, (lfs sold it to me for an anemone and didnt tell me about the established tank thing :( ) i am going to be purchasing this http://www.aquatraders.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=132 http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=714, http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2316, http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2315, or http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2033????????

we really need to know what type of lighting you have.. a 50/50 what ever does not help when your looking for good advice.
PC, VHO, NO strip light? Watts?
The LFS saying its good for an anemone makes me wonder???

your looking at getting the light?? I have that light on my fuge and it has worked well for about 1.5 years now. The color on the bulbs are not the best but it worked well for what I want. Hell a new bulb alone runs 25 bucks at the LFS and your getting the whole light for that. IMO you will need more watts for an amemone.
the link for the corals is not working right for me so maybe write down the corals you want..

The light is crap. I bought 4-48" ones for my tank for dusk effect. Less than a month old half of them do not work anymore. Do not cut corners on your light.

they are a mixtue of polyps and mushrooms, the only difference that i can tell is the price and ammount of corals. if you go to the coral section of liveaquaria, they have a beginners pack and nano packs, i was jsut wondering what would be best. from what ive read, polyps with grow like weeds wiht the right conditions, so i was thinking about going with the smaller pack of both mushrooms and polyps. i dont have an anemone, it died b/c they negleted to tell me about the established tank, and the tank was only 3 weeks old at the time. i want to get all of this when i get my taxes (YAY!!). thats about the only time i have enough money to purchase the big stuff, so im thinking about getting a remora skimmer too. that light will work for the corals that im thinking of though??

aquatraders sells cheap stuff because it is made cheap. I thought about their power compact or metal halide retrofits until I read the reviews.

Several customers complaining of capacitors blowing up or catching on fire. No thanks!

if your thinking corals I would look into a skimmer for the tank, it will be needed unless you stay on top of your water changes.
Everyone bashing Aquatraders, I like my pc light has been great.. And I also had the aqualight which has craped out, blew the ballast. So like everything else there are mixed opinions in this hobby.
