Black spot?

What could it be?
Its on my coral beauty's head, just above the eye. Its a black or dark purple.

To tell you the truth I dont know if it is recent or if it has always been there because it is SO close to the color of the fish.

It doesnt look like much, but what can it be? Its not raised or anything like that, it looks like it might be recessed a little though.

Maybe just a bruised spot. Where he could have hit some rock. Just guessing

My clowns get them all the time. I was told they are spots from various corals that "sting" them. In my case a toadstool that the clowns hang out in. Not to worry.
