Blue Tang Open Wound Copper

My Blue Tang has ick and also has a an open wound not related to the ick. I believe another fish caused the wound. I want to copper this tang in a QT. Will the copper make the wound worse? Will the tang suffer being in copper with an open wound? Thanks

I would be very leary of treating a tang with copper anyway let alone with an open wound. I believe hypo would be better and safer esp. if wounded.

If I'm not mistaken Copper is fine with an open wound. For the wound, Nitrofurazone can be mixed with copper.
