bones sticking out

I had to net my hippo tang last night. I should have probably used a more gentle net. The tang freaked out, dorsal fin went up and got a little stuck in the net. Today it is doing fine, but there are about 3 bones sticking right through the dorsal fin straight out. You can see the white bone, its probably about 1/8" sticking out. Do you think this will this eventually heal? Thanks.

I hope so but tangs are quite delicate and stress really easy. Be ready in case of a secondary bacterial infection.

Everything still looks good so far, except for the bones popping through of course. If a I do notice some type of secondary infection, what do you recommend?

I am positive it is the dorsal fin bones going through the fin. 3-bones total.

You may want to get a QT tank ready in case you need to treat that fish. I would to stress it even more by netting it again, and might consider using a baited fish trap, or a soda bottle trap if it comes to that. If a bacterial infection shows up you want to treat with an antibiotic or other medication.
