Both my anemones died.

Both of my anemones died. The rose got ate by the maxi-jet 900 and the atlantic by the rio 1700.

What the hell can i do to prevent powerheads from murdering my livestock ? this is over 60 dollars that just got killed for no **** reason, needless to say i am very pissed off.

Put peices of screen over the inlets? any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about the maxi-jet, but you can buy a conversion kit for the rio. I got mine at Big Als:

I still have plenty of water flow and nothing gets sucked in.

You can fit it around the outside of the intake. Did it not come with some screening?

I purchased some nylon type sponges for filter media and what not. Im much more satisfied and will not worry about future anemones. Still a very sad learning experience.
