Broken Coral

This guy was attached to a rock and broke off after moving it around. Is he a gonner or will he still survive if I reglue him back. Also, he hasn't sprouted in over a week. Is it dead? ThanksClick image for larger version

Iíd glue it back on but that looks like a non-photo gorgonian. Extremely hard to keep animal that requires lots of feeding. Youíll usually see it open at night time to try and filter feed but they have a very low survival rate in captivity
