Brown algae

My brothers 75g tank is growing brown algae spots all over what do I do I am new to saltwater tanks please help I have two chromies a percula clown a watchmen goby and a pistol shrimp along with some coral can anyone help please

How long has your tank been setup? It is normal for diatoms bloom after the cycle and as fast as they appear they will vanish.

He cycled it for three weeks and we have had it up and running for about two weeks now. This started after he noticed his nitrates and nitrites go up.

you should wait until your Nitrites get down to 0 before your cycle is complete.
