I found some stringy brown jelly goo on my hammer coral today, I pulled it off and my hammer seemed a pit happier. Is this an infection? How do I fix it?

If its' coming out of the center of the hammer and flowing awayin a stringy stream, it's most likely "pooping", they will do that from time to time.

If it's more like a gelatinous mass that sits on/around the coral polyps it could be a bacterial infection.

Are any of the polyp heads showing any sign of necrosis?

Cheers
Steve

Ok, thanks steve, talked to Kevin and he said pretty much the same thing. I liked his explanation better though...

Ah, I was just half kidding. He can post it if he wants, I dont like bringing things from personal talk, into public veiw yamean?
