Not sure about the brain. I suppose as long as it's got color it's got a chance. Strange that it's mouth's been open for this long.

One comment about those type of brain corals though - because of how much their tissue expands, I believe they prefer to be on the sand. I think that's where they're normally found in nature. Looks like yours is perched on the rock. Irritation from abrading on the rock as is expands and contracts may have ticked it off. Try moving it down to the sand and see if that doesn't help.

Nice looking bubble - glad to hear it's happier now.

I just put it there last night. It's actually just touching at the base, I used epoxy to place it so it would not brush against anything. I already knew about the sand thing...but it was doing so bad, I though maybe if I moved it, It might do better.
