Bummed

I realize that nothing will live forever in a tank, but I'm bummed about finding my cleaner shrimp dead. He was my favorite inhabitant in my tank. I also found my largest peppermint shrimp dead at the same time. If they are short-lived, there's nothing I can do, but they both looked fine earlier in the day.

My nitrates and salinity were fine earlier in the day- I had just checked them. Nitrites, Ammonia and Ph were excellent last week when I checked. Any clues? I haven't had any problems from the fish at all.

I suppose I should just move on.

If it makes you feel any better I had 3 reaaly nice Pepps that were all wiped out today by my new Sunrise Dottyback.. I feel your pain..

Two shrimp dying within 24 hours of each other sounds suspicious to me...do you dose anything?

The peppermint was found on the powerhead intake. I'm not sure if that was the cause or it was the result.

I don't dose anything.
