Can I dose Melafix in my main tank?

As you may have seen in a previous post my flame angel has 1 cloudy eye it sort of looks like a cataract. my LFS says it sounds like pop eye but is definately a bacterial infection. I set up a hospital tank but I cannot catch him in my main tank. Here is my livesock list can I dose my main tank with Melafix for 7 days without hurting anything else. The bottle says it will not hurt corals.

My problem is that it will mess with your nitrifying bacteria (Good bacteria) in your tank on your LR. You know cloudy eyes can be taken care of by making sure of pristine water conditions. If this is the only problem I would do some good size PWC`s and get your water test results looking pretty good.
