This morning in found that 1 of the 5 stems on a blue xenia had the polyps "chomped" off or fell off. There were a.few of the smaller polyps still there, but pretty much all the rest were gone. Are there things that attack them? I have a number of softies, zoas, LPS, and monti sps in there and have.never had a problem. I have a pair of clowns and a 6line eraser, along with a few small hermits, serpent star, and a peppermint shrimp. Any clues? I will post a picture to this when I get home from work.

Also I noticed the end of tje damaged stem is white, as the other stems and polyps are blue-grey in color

I'd say the hermits got to it. Ive heard stories of it happening and ive seen it with my own

Agree with that one! My emearld crab killer my Xenia and one head of my hammer coral before I evicted the little buggar. Crabs will eat whatever they want when they want.
